so this is what i woke up to this morning. i checked an online weather forecast and it said not to worry. it was snowing but the ground was too warm for it to stick. riiiiiiiiiight.
true it is not sticking to the streets so driving is ok. and it is very pretty. ok winter. bring it on.

it's a glorious fall day today. and it will be great for the trick or treaters tonight since they won't have to wear a heavy coat over their costumes. and now that november is almost here it's ok to be getting colder. i'm ready for winter.
dangit! i should have made a car appt this week. oh well, next week will work also. it's just an oil change.
i've been running a fever for the past 2 days. not sure whats up. kinda feels like a cold coming on so i'm going heavy on the vitamin c and try to head it off at the pass.
laundry and errands will make up most of today. and i'm going to try and put up christmas lights. never done outside lights before. i'm just gonna put a few strings in the lilac bushes by the garage.

i guess for my first post it's fitting i should introduce my first grandchild. this is tres. and he is adorable. but he lives too far away in new orleans. i will see him at christmas when they come to visit and i am so excited. that is part of the reason i am taking "vacation" this week, to get some things ready. when you work retail there is no time off in nov/dec. so, in theory, if i get some stuff done now i'll have time to enjoy this cute baby.
